Okay, I just heard that minorities (which I'm a part of, being hispanic) are not supposed to be called that anymore...we are "emerging majority groups"...................WTF??!!!!

This PC b.s. is really getting the hell out of control! You are not bald anymore, but "follicly challenged"; and you're not fired anymore but "given options for future career enhancement"! My ASS!!

Why do we want to dumb everything down to the lowest denominator? Progress can only come out of controversy, but we are becoming a homogenized cesspool of mediocrisy. This attempt at not offending anybody is ludicrous, you can't please 100% of the ppl 100% percent of the time!

People should alway be offended by something, it's the only way to know that we are still human, still individuals. When nothing affects us, touches us in the most intimate of ways, when things are so vanilla as to pass unnoticed, then we have died inside.

That's why art should be shocking, controversial, even offensive, it disturbs us and makes us think, makes us realize that we are still unique beings with unique feelings.

There is a difference between being polite and being mediocre.
Freedom of speech is wonderful, but it's a double edged sword, you may say whatever you want, but remeber that so do other people, even those you don't agree with...and I wouldn't change it for the world!!

Like my favorite quote goes: I may not like what you say, but I will defend to death your right to say it! (I don't remember who said it, anybody know?)

P.S. B4 I get flamed, I'm not saying that hate speech should be encouraged or anything of the sort, I'm talking about disagreeing P.O.V.'s mostly.
